Houston Safe Boating Council
Put
on by the Houston Safe Boating Council who organizes two 3-day Camp WADE
session each summer for up to 36 teenagers per session are taught water
safety, boating law, and learn hands on how to safety operate sailboats,
powerboats, kayaks, and PWC. Students
take a test at the end to earn their Texas Basic Safety Certification. |

Texas Marine Mammal Stranding
Network
Founded
in 1980, TMMSN is a nonprofit volunteer-based organization dedicated to
the understanding and conservation of marine mammals. The Network rescues
and rehabilitates marine mammals that strand along the Texas Coast,
providing food, medical treatment and 24-hour-a-day observation. Dolphins
and whales are the most common marine mammals found off the Texas Coast.
The Network has responded to a variety of strandings ranging from the
Atlantic bottlenose dolphin to the rarely seen pygmy killer whale.

Discovery is for children between the ages of seven to sixteen that have
